Dim Sum at Man Fa Hung Hotpot Restaurant

This hot pot joint in Soho, Man Fa Hung is relatively popular at lunch and dinner. Although I haven't been for dinner, I am certain I've found a cheap and cheerful dim sum joint in Central.

dim sum sheet
Small dim sum dishes are $14, medium $16 and large $19 between 11.30am-1.45pm; cheap, no?! But if you visit before or after these hours, the prices are even lower...

"Crispy noodles with bean sprouts, shredded pork, mushrooms, chives"
A must order - this dish is a classic Cantonese restaurant noodle dish and this version was perfectly executed with crunchy noodles...

trio of buns - from top, clockwise: custard, bbq pork, lotus paste
The custard one is my favourite.

BBQ Pork (Char siu) Buns

Shrimp dumplings (Har Gow)
The only disappointment - the skins were too soft; oversteamed.

"Glutinous rice dumplings with chicken (Lor mai gai)"

"Beef mince balls"
For these kind of prices one often needs to travel to Kowloon side. My favourite being One Dim Sum near Prince Edward MTR... What is your favourite cheap and cheerful dim sum joint?!
